James started to play acoustic finger-style guitar about 6 years ago after seeing, for the first time, the inspirational Tommy Emmanuel.

Since then James has developed his own style of playing, which is a fusion of many modern techniques. These range from hitting the guitar in different places to get an array of different percussive sounds to experimenting with open tunings and two hand tapping techniques, which is always a crowd pleaser!.

Aside from his experimental 'shenanigans' James has written his own instrumental arrangements of well known pop songs and his own pieces which feature on his recent album 'Short & Sweet'.

James really enjoys playing acoustic music to appreciative audiences, which you can really see when you see him perform. His energy on stage and conviction of every note really creates an electric atmosphere, which captivates audiences wherever he plays!
